Description
The Ducky Dons D’orveige 4-season duvet is excellent value for money. It is filled with 100% duck down. Thanks to the high-quality European filling and fine ticking, the duvet ventilates well. Perspiration is not a problem, thanks to the high moisture absorption. Compared to synthetic duvets, the duvet is also very light, only 800 grams (140×200).
Thanks to the Nomite ticking with an NM value of 70, house dust mites cannot penetrate the duvet. Sleepers with allergies are therefore safe. The duck down duvet is an excellent alternative to a goose down duvet. Compared to the other duvets in our collection, the ticking feels less smooth, but is still good compared to a synthetic duvet. Unlike the Nordic duvet, the D’orveige duvet is filled with 100% duck down. There is no chance of feathers poking through the duvet cover, which is the case with the Nordic duvet because it is filled with 90% duck down.
The duvet consists of two parts with a different fill weight. One part (heat class 4) has a relatively low fill weight and the other part (heat class 3) has a higher fill weight. Each part is suitable for a different season. The “light” part is suitable for summer, while the heavier part is excellent for autumn or spring. By combining the parts using buttons, you create a warm down duvet, which is especially suitable for winter.

It is a very fine duvet and also has 2 layers! I have slept with it for several nights and the experience is positive. Unfortunately, it is on the warm side, so I have to take off the first layer to not feel warm while sleeping (around winter time).

It is very thick in volume compared to our old synthetic duvet, which immediately gives you a luxurious feeling when you get into bed and also when you look at it. With a young baby, I was always very cold in bed because I had to get out so often. Now I warm up much faster in the evening and the bed stays warmer when I get back, even after an hour.
I have both duvets in now because that’s how they were delivered, which is actually a bit too warm for this time of year (night temp 8-10 degrees), so have yet to try without the summer part, but how lovely to be able to leave the window open and not have to wear thick pyjamas. We should have done this much earlier!

Lovely duvet. We bought it a week ago (in October) and immediately used the double version. It creaks so nicely new and it is wonderfully thick. Because the duvet is made of 100 per cent down, there are no hard feathers poking through. The size is perfect for our bed (180 x 210). It hangs slightly over the edge on all sides and we can both turn around in it. Highly recommended!
