Description
The Vandyck excellent DUO duvet has come out top in the Consumer Association’s 2019 test. This is not for nothing. After all, the comfort this duvet offers can be called excellent, but where does that show up? We explain.
Every season a good feeling

The DUO duvet consists of two parts. A summer part and an autumn/spring part. Putting these parts together creates a duvet suitable for winter. So you have a comfortable duvet every season.
Filled with large down flakes

Especially the filling and the cover make this duvet excellent. The filling consists of 95% pure white Eastern European goose down and 5% small goose feathers. The goose down flakes are relatively large so relatively little down is needed to create good insulation. As a result, the duvet is nice and light, can absorb a lot of moisture and lasts a long time. Remarkably, Vandyck chooses to refer to the filling as 95% down, while you can actually call this a 100% down duvet.
Luxe Egyptian cotton ticking
The luxurious filling is hidden in the duvet’s pretty cover, which we also call the ticking. That ticking is made of 100% finely combed mako cotton. These Egyptian cotton fibres are relatively long, so the ticking feels very soft and supple. The ticking is very tightly woven, preventing feathers from poking through and keeping dust mites out. Finally, the ticking is finished with an extra soft soft finish.
Produced with respect for animals
Vandyck also takes animal welfare seriously. Strict attention is paid to proper accommodation, sufficient food and drink and well-trained staff. If the down of a duvet meets these conditions, the duvet gets a Downpass label, as is the case with this duvet.

We have had the duvet for a week now. My partner has a single and I have a single and it is really fantastic, not least because of the extra length, which makes it look nicer on our bed when we make it (it falls over the pillow). The double duvet is as light as a feather and it is as if it regulates the heat. So, on warm and cold nights, there is a feeling of constant warmth under the duvet which is very pleasant. Not too warm and not too cold. Just right. A shame to get out of it in the morning.

I wanted a lightweight and this one feels like it. I have not used it yet. My old duvet has become really thin, so good for the summer. By winter I will have a new and warmer duvet.
